The process of creating your unique sculpture:
Your sculpture starts with time spent in our studio, guided gently from start to finish. Once your likeness is captured, the work is shaped, refined, and completed by hand, allowing subtle details and personality to emerge in a way that feels natural and unmistakably personal.
Obtaining data: We first photograph the subject. Then we create 3D models with fine details. We utilize this 3D model as the subject so you do not need to sit for hours while we sculpt.

Sculpting: Our expert artist spends hours sculpting, shaping and refining your sculpture. Fine details are captured and perfected meticulously.

The finishing touches: At our next meeting we present the work in process and request feedback. We then refine the sculpture until you are satisfied. Unlimited revisions ensure 100% satisfaction. No sculpture proceeds to final casting until the client has approved the likeness at the clay stage.

About the Artist, Michael Enos
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Michael Enos is a portrait sculptor based in Naples, Florida, whose work focuses on capturing the individuality and presence of each subject through carefully developed head and face sculptures. His work blends traditional hand sculpting with modern 3D capture technology, allowing him to create pieces that are both technically accurate and artistically expressive.
Michael graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins in 1994, where he studied art and design. He further developed his sculpting skills through formal study in Florence, Italy, where exposure to classical techniques and historic works helped shape his understanding of form, proportion, and expression. Since college, he has continued to sculpt for decades while also exploring a wide range of artistic practices including painting in acrylic and oil, abstract work, portraiture, pencil drawing, and graffiti art. This broad artistic background informs his sculptural work and contributes to a flexible and observant artistic style.
For more than ten years, Michael has specialized in sculpting custom portrait heads for clients. His experience working directly from life has given him a strong understanding of facial structure, expression, and proportion. Each sculpture is developed with the goal of capturing not only likeness but also the subtle details that give a subject presence and individuality.
In addition to his artistic background, Michael has extensive hands on experience working with physical materials. He has built projects in wood, metal, glass, and fiberglass and has practical experience with welding and fabrication. This technical background contributes to a high level of manual precision and an understanding of how materials respond during the sculpting and casting process. His work reflects both artistic sensitivity and mechanical understanding, allowing him to anticipate how tools and forces will shape each material and how the finished piece will perform over time.
Michael’s sculptural approach combines traditional clay modeling with modern 3D scanning technology. High resolution 3D capture replaces the need for long sitting sessions and allows the subject to be recorded accurately and comfortably. The digital model can be viewed from any angle and at multiple distances, providing a level of observation that is difficult to achieve in a live session. This process reduces the burden on the subject while giving the artist a reliable reference that supports careful sculptural development.
Michael has a strong ability to visualize in three dimensions and approaches each sculpture as a physical problem to be solved as well as an artistic form to be refined. His understanding of spatial relationships and structural balance allows him to anticipate the results of physical manipulation before material is removed or added. This disciplined approach helps ensure that each sculpture develops in a controlled and intentional way.
For Michael, sculpting is both a creative discipline and a personal passion. The process provides a sense of focus and calm while offering the challenge of gradually transforming raw material into a finished form. He values the slow progression from initial structure to final refinement and takes particular satisfaction in seeing a sculpture evolve into a recognizable and lasting representation of the subject.
Working from his Naples studio and occasionally on location, Michael creates sculptures for private collectors, families, and professional environments. Each piece is developed with care and attention to detail, with the goal of producing a work that will endure both physically and artistically for many years.
