PRESERVE: Bespoke Sculpture
About Us
Our studio was created around a single belief, that people deserve to be remembered, recognized, and preserved in a lasting and dignified form.
We specialize in custom head and face sculptures that capture more than just a likeness. Each piece is designed to preserve expression, personality, and presence, turning a single moment into a lasting physical form. Using a blend of modern 3D capture and hands on sculpting, we transform real people into timeless sculptures.
Our studio was founded by a Naples based artist with a singular focus: elevating personal legacy into sculptural form, offering individuals, couples, CEOs, board executives, leaders, founders, and families the opportunity to pose and be sculpted exactly as they are. A smile, a thoughtful expression, a familiar look, these details become the foundation of a one of a kind sculpture crafted with care and precision.
Every sculpture begins with a personal session in our studio or at your location, where we guide you through the process in a relaxed and comfortable setting. From there, the work is refined, sculpted, and finished by hand, ensuring that each piece feels intentional, expressive, and truly unique.
These are not novelty items or mass produced replicas. Each sculpture is created as an iconic art piece meant to be displayed, kept, and passed down. Common placements include executive lobbies, board rooms, professional spaces, founder's offices, halls of leadership or within a distinguished private residence.
A moment captured. A presence preserved. A personal sculpture made to last.
Commissioning Process and Timeline:
Each sculpture is created through a deliberate and carefully guided process. The journey begins with a scheduled studio session, where the subject’s likeness and expression are captured. Following this session, the sculpture is developed in clay and refined to bring out structure, proportion, and character.
Once the clay model is complete, it is presented for client review. This stage allows time for thoughtful feedback and refinements before moving forward. Adjustments are made as needed to ensure the sculpture accurately reflects the subject and feels complete.
After approval, the piece advances to final casting and finishing in the selected material. Production timelines vary depending on scale, material choice, and finishing details, but most projects move from initial session to completed work within several weeks.
Throughout the process, clients are kept informed of progress so there are no surprises, only anticipation for the finished piece.
All sessions and commissions are conducted with complete discretion and professional confidentiality.
Gifting and Commemorative Works:
A custom head sculpture is more than a work of art. It is a lasting tribute. Many of our pieces are commissioned to mark significant milestones such as anniversaries, retirements, leadership transitions, family legacies, and personal achievements. Unlike traditional gifts, a sculpture captures presence and expression in a form that endures.
For families, it becomes a meaningful heirloom. For executives and organizations, it represents recognition, respect, and permanence. Whether displayed in a private residence, corporate headquarters, or ceremonial setting, each sculpture serves as a tangible reminder of a person’s impact and identity.
Our Standard:
Each commission is approached with discipline, discretion, and respect for the subject. We work with leaders, families, and organizations who value permanence, symbolism, and the preservation of identity. Every piece is crafted to endure, both materially and historically.
Legacy:
Long after photographs fade and digital files are forgotten, sculpture remains. A physical presence. A lasting mark. A preserved identity.
We create works intended to stand as enduring symbols of leadership, family, and personal history.
About the Materials:
Surface texture plays a powerful role in how a sculpture feels within a space. Clients may choose from matte or gloss finishes, smooth or textured surfaces, natural grays, custom painted colors, or more expressive treatments depending on the intended environment.
A smooth matte finish offers quiet elegance and gallery presence. A rougher texture highlights the sculptural process and adds dramatic shadow and depth. Gloss finishes create visual contrast and modern refinement. Painted finishes allow the piece to harmonize with architectural or interior design palettes.
Every finish is selected with intention, ensuring the final work complements its surroundings while preserving the integrity of the sculpted form.
About the Finished Sculpture:
Each sculpture is carefully developed with intention, accuracy, and respect for the subject. After the initial capture and sculpting phase, the piece is refined in clay and presented for client review prior to final casting. This stage allows clients to see the work in its sculpted form, review likeness and expression, and request refinements or adjustments.
We welcome thoughtful feedback during this process and make revisions as needed to ensure the sculpture feels true, balanced, and complete. Only after the clay sculpture has been reviewed and approved does the piece move forward to final casting. This collaborative approach ensures that every finished work reflects both artistic integrity and the client’s vision, resulting in a sculpture that feels personal, intentional, and enduring.
Scale and Placement:
Proportion is essential to how a sculpture is experienced. We work closely with clients to determine the appropriate scale based on the intended setting, viewing distance, and architectural context. A sculpture designed for a private residence may emphasize intimacy and subtle detail, while a piece intended for a lobby, boardroom, or executive suite must command presence without overwhelming the space.
For corporate environments, scale is carefully considered in relation to ceiling height, table dimensions, shelving depth, and lighting conditions. A sculpture placed in a recessed wall feature or behind a conference table should feel balanced and intentional from across the room, not lost or oversized. We help guide these decisions to ensure the final piece integrates seamlessly with its surroundings.
Whether the goal is understated elegance or bold visual impact, thoughtful proportion ensures the sculpture enhances the environment and reinforces the dignity of the subject it represents.
Lighting Considerations:
Lighting plays a critical role in how a sculpture is perceived. The direction, intensity, and warmth of light determine how texture, expression, and depth are revealed. Proper lighting enhances contours and shadow, allowing the sculpted details to come alive. Poor lighting can diminish those same details and reduce visual impact.
For residential and corporate settings alike, we offer guidance on placement relative to natural light, overhead fixtures, recessed shelving lights, and directional accent lighting. Soft, angled illumination often produces the most dimensional effect, highlighting facial structure and surface texture without harsh glare.
In executive offices, boardrooms, and lobbies, lighting should support presence without creating distraction. In more intimate spaces, subtle lighting can create a gallery like atmosphere that elevates the sculpture to a focal point.
Thoughtful lighting ensures the final installation feels intentional, refined, and worthy of display.
